# CBS Tech Club recruiting timeline

[Open the interactive timeline](https://mba.scoutify.com). Observation window: **August 1, 2025 through May 31, 2026**, inclusive UTC. Research updated September 5–6, 2026.

The dataset contains **2,103 individual listing-evidence records**: **669 with explicit MBA evidence** and **1,434 graduate-business-compatible records**, plus 9 program announcements and 2 general context records. It combines 1,956 reviewed Scoutify records and 193 external records, with 35 matching source records linked. Company labels represented: 704; aliases are not universally consolidated.

The earlier roughly 600-record count was a narrow screened sample, not the total MBA market. The expanded review examines full qualifications rather than the MBA acronym alone. Legitimate current master's routes in business, finance, economics, marketing, management and related fields now have a separate tier. Their MBA fit is an inference, subject to specialization, experience, language, geography, enrollment and work-authorization requirements. Explicit MBA evidence includes employer requirements, preferences and title-only records; these have different confidence and detail.

Historical tracker entries also hid explicit MBA opportunities behind abbreviated titles. Recovered, requisition-linked descriptions add roles at American Century, Cox, Comcast, JPMorgan, BMS and other employers. The [September historical snapshot](https://github.com/SimplifyJobs/Summer2027-Internships/blob/bf9e6c78fa7d76af74d51bcc83e237897d94c50e/.github/scripts/listings.json) establishes listing presence by its capture. Qualifications recovered in September 2026 are later evidence, not frozen 2025 requirements. Each record preserves that distinction.

The evidence supports preparing before autumn recruiting. MBA roles appeared on university boards in August; ServiceNow's MBA product-management employer pages display September 12, and October 16 newsletter evidence names Adobe, Dell, EA, Okta and ServiceNow. These dates establish the named source's evidence, not a common employer opening schedule. The fall follow-up adds dated MBA evidence from MIT Sloan, Dartmouth and other university boards, plus one graduate-business Airbnb role recovered from an October legacy job-only snapshot. The [MIT Sloan Amazon recruiting update](https://cdo.mit.edu/blog/2025/10/27/amazon-2026-mba-internship-recruiting-updates/) links specific internship tracks. Confirmed overlaps are linked to existing records instead of counted twice. A distinctive 3M program/title/location match is labeled as inferred identity; its requisition came from Scoutify, not independently from the historical board. These additions improve individual company histories but do not establish complete fall volume.

Independent databases supplied six further records: two Vanguard MBA internships and an Amazon Japan MBA internship with full qualifications frozen in October Common Crawl captures; a quantitative MBA route at Nordstrom independently corroborated on employer/job-board sources; and two official USAJOBS graduate-business internships. Vanguard's preserved board date is September 11, separate from its October 9 capture. Amazon Japan has an October 16 capture and no verified employer posting date. The Secret Service role has no specified summer term. See [the database assessment](research/databases/DATABASE-SOURCES.md) and [frozen archive evidence](research/databases/independent-batch/RESEARCH.md).

The broader database search measured 10,592 fall observations but only 2,198 distinct jobs in a data-science-focused LinkedIn collection, with one MBA/internship overlap. A USAJOBS mirror contained 43,826 fall announcements and 53 student/intern title leads, with no descriptions in the bulk file. These raw totals are not MBA counts. Restricted third-party bulk downloads remain outside the app and bundle; included records use independently verified sources. A general private-sector historical corpus with substantial MBA coverage and suitable reuse rights remains an unresolved gap.

**Use one interface:** choose Reviewed opportunities or All internship candidates. Filter reviewed records by company, eligibility evidence, geography, term, source and date type. The weekly chart separates dated public evidence, Scoutify insertions and archive captures, with hatching over the missing fall Scoutify interval. Click a company or weekly bar for qualifications, prerequisites and provenance. Export the filtered CSV or download the full dataset. Imports stay in the browser tab until exported.

The broader mode contains **34,234 retained internship candidates across 3,029 Scoutify company IDs**. It includes unreviewed undergraduate and technical roles. It is useful for discovering leads and inspecting collection coverage, not an MBA count.

Main limitations:

- Scoutify's inspected hot/archive tables retain no insertion records before December 12, despite the supplied early-November launch context. The reason for that gap is unresolved. August–November relies on selective external evidence.
- Database insertion is not employer posting. Raw posted_at can be synthetic, an ATS update or a relative-date approximation. It is preserved but excluded from verified employer-date counts.
- Deadlines, recruiting windows, first observations and archive captures remain separate. Month-only evidence never becomes an invented day. Snapshot sampling can create artificial month-end clusters.
- Listing records are not headcount, hires or a market census. Programs are counted separately. Different requisitions stay distinct, confirmed matches are linked, and unresolved mirrors remain possible. Changing company coverage prevents a market-wide peak estimate.
- 70 Scoutify rows have title-only MBA evidence; 139 reviewed Scoutify rows lack classified country. Screening was performed by assistants using retained and attributable public evidence, without employer confirmation or independent human signoff. Historical observations do not guarantee future schedules or current availability.

See COVERAGE-RESEARCH.md, monthly-coverage-comparison.csv, screening-audit.csv and research/ for the reproducible funnel and decisions. Production access was read-only and job-only. No users, applicants, contacts or billing data were queried.
